Local Scholarship Guidelines

The Education Council grants scholarships for study at the Community College of the Cayman Islands (CCCI), the International College of the Cayman Islands (ICCI) and the Cayman Islands Law School. The deadline for scholarship applications to these institutions has been set for the last Friday in June of every year.

Local scholarships are granted in the amount of CI$2,500 per annum for the following
  • Approved Bachelors Degrees (ICCI)
  • Associates Degrees (ICCI and CCCI)
  • A Levels Studies
And CI$7,500 per annum for up to four years for the following:
  • Cayman Islands Law School

Scholarship funds are also available for the Certificate Programme at the Community College of the Cayman Islands. All scholarships are for full time studies only. A scholarship recipient must be Caymanian and must sign a bond for the amount of the scholarship. The bond can be fulfilled by working for one year in the Cayman Islands or by enrolling full time in a degree-granting institution, which is recognized by the Education Council, for the purpose of completing a degree. All other requirements for Government overseas scholarships will apply to local scholarship.
